Hopkins pleased with first day back

John Hopkins declared himself satisfied with his first day back in MotoGP, as he returned to the field at Jerez to deputise for the injured Alvaro Bautista at Suzuki. The American was slowest in practice, but less than three seconds off the pace as he reacclimatised to MotoGP after a two-year absence
